If in London Shoreditch is your kind of place, there are plenty of places you will love in New York.
As mentioned in another post, Williamsburg is New York’s Shoreditch. Have breakfast at the Ange Noir Café on Varet Street. It makes amazing porridge with honey, nuts and seasonal fruit as well as kale smoothies.
For dinner, try out Momo’s Sushi Shack on Bogart Street, inside what looks like a garage converted into a restaurant. Its interesting twists on sushi dishes – like the veggie sushi with cream cheese – are the perfect way to start a night out.
For drinks head out to the Bushwick’s Living Room in Flushing avenue. Try the Brooklyn Bridge cocktail and the quinoa salad – massive! – or the burgers.
If you’re feeling more adventurous, brave the fear and enter the East Village’s Lovecraft Café in Alphabet City, on number 50 Avenue B. As a tribute to the horror master H.P. Lovecraft, it offers alcoholic infusions that will make you see monsters.
For a spicier day, head out to 5th Avenue and enjoy the Museum of Sex‘s temporary exhibitions on sex amongst animals and on Linda Lovelace, as well as the permanent one displaying, amongst other things, a dress entirely made out of condoms. Then relax with a drink at the museum’s own cocktail bar, Play.
New York has plenty to offer even to the pickiest Shoreditch resident. Pick up a copy of TimeOut, ask around and a whole world will open its doors for you.

Ho giá detto che Williamsburg é la Shoreditch di New York, perció non potete non farci un salto. Fate colazione all’Ange Noir di Varet Street con succhi di verdura e porridge alla frutta di stagione.
Per la cena fate un salto alla Momo’s Sushi Shack, un garage di Bogart Street diventato ristorante con interessanti varianti al solito menu di sushi. Provate il sushi vegetariano col formaggio!

Se invece vi sentite piú avventurosi, avventuratevi dentro al Lovecraft Bar di Alphabet City nell’East Village, al numero 50 dell’Avenue B. Ispirato ai romanzi del grande H.P. Lovecraft, il locale offre infusioni alcoliche da mettere i brividi.
Per una giornata con un po’piú di pepe, visitate il Museum of Sex di 5th Avenue, che ha in serbo mostre itineranti – tra cui quelle sul sesso tra animali e quella su Linda Lovelace – insieme alla storia dei sex toys. Rilassatevi al bar del museo, play, con una serie di cocktail coi fiocchi.
