Brunch in the City: Bad Egg

After a new-found passion for eggs, I couldn’t help but have a go at the exciting menu offered by Bad Egg in the City. Here’s my review of their mouth-watering and filling treats. IMG_0423

Offering one of the best bottomless brunches in town according to TimeOut London, Bad Egg is hidden behind the main square at City Point. The decor is diner through and through, but the food is more than just American. A fusion of Mexican, Korean, Cuban and American, their menu is unique and with plenty of options.IMG_0421

I didn’t have the courage to go for the boozy bottomless brunch – £30 per person with unlimited Bloody Marys, cava and Mimosas, plus the choice of three dishes in the brunch menu. I would have most likely ordered granola, pancakes and tacos, and walking out of the diner wouldn’t have been easy.

I went for the all-day breakfast instead, choosing their huevos rancheros, or creamy scrambled eggs with chilli, chorizo, peppers, salsa & guacamole, served with fried tacos on the side. I then closed the meal with their signature nduja cheese and fried egg fries. IMG_0424

Everything I tried at Bad Egg was spicy to right limit, leaving me filled and happy but not yearning for bottomless cocktails to save me from too much pepper. The staff was fun and attentive and the atmosphere was buzzing with the post-hungover – but still going for boozy brunch – crowd. This place is a must!
