Bohemian Raw Café Abell Point Marina Review

Interiors envy? Check. Blissful raw treats? Check. Smoothies? Check. The Bohemian Raw Café in Abell Point Marina, Airlie Beach, hits all the right spots, a refreshing alternative to chain stores and hostels in a busy backpacker town.

Blending the hippie, the mystical and the outright cute, the Bohemian Raw Café draws you in from the outside with flower pots and stylish, patterned bean bags and garden furniture.

Once inside, it’s the raw doughnuts and cakes, or the variety of energy snacks with that keep you in. Instead of the everyday peanut butter or raw chocolate bliss balls, the Bohemian Raw Café serves coconut lemon, cookie dough, apple pie or bounty energy snacks ($3.70 each or $10 for $3). The raw cakes ($6.30 each) go from strawberry cheesecake to the “Nut Breaker”, featuring multiple types of nut butter. The raw doughnuts include berry choc or raw Oreo flavours ($8).

The Bohemian Raw Café also serves a variety of smoothies and Boho Bowls, the café’s own take on smoothie bowls that go beyond açai. Try the Mango Dream bowl with coconut yoghurt and muesli ($16), made with mango, banana, coconut milk and protein and topped with fresh fruit – best bowl I’ve had in Australia yet!

Alternatively, if you’re more of a coffee addict, the café has its own personalised prints for your take-away cups, making your morning pick-me-up drink extra special.
If I could have breakfast here every day I would. Open a café in Sydney please?
