Leaving car parks and courtyards empty is a sin in East London. The real sin though would be not checking out the new Street Feast in Shoreditch Yard. Here’s my round-up of London’s most exciting street festival’s opening weekend.

p class=”p1″>The uber-successful Dalston and Lewisham Street Feast came to Shoreditch last weekend with a brand new 1,000 capacity day and night market called Dinerama, a street food arena in a former truck depot. Unlike its sister venues, Dinerama is open five days a week (Wednesday to Sunday). 
Slightly tinier than its Dalston branch, Dinerama sports six street diners, five street food shacks, six bars and street food trucks. In full Street Feast style, it’s a safe spot for great vibes and – unlike any other of its sister venue – amazing views of the City’s skyline. Broadgate Tower, Shoreditch’s Avant Gard Tower and the disused tube carriages and graffiti on top of the Village Underground are in the background of this street food marvel, complete with funfair lights, feel-good music and a great crowd. 
But let’s get down to the food and drink on offer. We started the night with a fresh and tropical Big Kahuna cocktail (£8) with passion fruit in one of the bars to then move on to the food. Baba G’s masala chips with mint sauce are a spicy dream, while Yum Bun’s shiitake mushroom and pork buns don’t disappoint – although the ice cream bun I was hoping to get is only available in Dalston. That made me sad for a while, until I found You Doughnut’s cinnamon and salted caramel doughnuts with pecans and chocolate ice cream. They saved the night! 
Just like every event branded Street Feast, Dinerama offers one of the best nights in London. Check it out and enjoy the view!

I parcheggi o i giardini in disuso non hanno vita lunga a East London: le squadre di organizzatori degli street festival della città li occupano in un attimo. Eccovi il mio resoconto del lancio del nuovo Street Feast – Dinerama a Shoreditch.
Il popolarissimo street festival di Dalston e Lewisham Street Feast è arrivato a Shoreditch lo scorso weekend con un nuovo mercato di giorno e di notte che può ospitare fino a 1000 persone. Dinerama, è un’arena in un ex deposito per camion e, a differenza degli altri mercati di Street Feast, è aperto cinque giorni a settimana (dal Mercoledì alla Domenica).
Leggermente più piccolo di Street Feast Dalston, Dinerama ospita sei diner di strada, cinque bancarelle, sei bar e camion di street food. In pieno Street Feast style, garantisce un’atmosfera unica e – a differenza di qualsiasi altro Street Feast – viste mozzafiato della City. Broadgate Tower, l’Avant Gard Tower di Shoreditch e le carrozze della metro abbandonate e coperte da graffiti del Village Underground sono sullo sfondo di questo piccolo angolo di paradiso per mangioni, dove non mancano luci da fiera, musica feel-good e la gente di East London.
Ma ora parliamo di cose serie: che si mangia? Abbiamo iniziato la serata con un fresco e tropicale cocktail chiamato Big Kahuna (£8), a base di frutto della passione, in uno dei bar del mercato. Provate le masala chips con salsa alla menta di Baba G’s, una delizia piccante ed esotica, mentre i panini di Yum Bun.
che siano al fungo shiitake o al maiale, non deludono. Purtroppo qui a Shoreditch non servono il panino al gelato di Dalston, Â ma mi sono rifatta con le frittelle al caramello, noci e gelato al cioccolato di You Doughnut.
Come qualsiasi evento firmato Street Feast, Dinerama offre una delle migliori serate di Londra. Fateci un salto – e godetevi la vista!Â
