Wondering what to do with your Wednesday night? Simple. Pop down to Haunt, Stoke Newington’s newest outpost, for an evening of adventurous sharing platters and brilliant burlesque.
Officially launched this week, Haunt is your best bet for a fun, cheeky date. Their sharing platters will show you whether your partner is the safe or the adventurous type. Just get them to try the sun-dried tomato cannelloni or the cauliflower pannacotta and see what they say!
Haunt is more than just veggie platters. Their meat and fish dishes are awesome, too: try their veal croquettes or beef with horseradish sauce if you don’t believe me! Or you could always go for prawn and salmon bonbon, turbot carpaccio, grilled baby monkfish, three way of pork, garlic spinach and truffle chips. And man, they make mean chips.
As if this wasn’t enough, every Wednesday Haunt runs its own burlesque and cabaret night, The Apothecary Cabaret. A mix of hilarious presenters, crazy dares that involve lifting a barrell through the hole of a pierced ear and sexy classy burlesque shows, Haunt is sure to give you a great night.
On top of this, the décor is hip East London mixed with French class, the staff is lovely and the atmosphere relaxed. Especially after their desserts and a glass of wine: I’m still dreaming about the cinnamon parfait and chocolate fondant.
Haunt is your ultimate chilled night in Stokey… One of those nights that end up being crazy fun.
