Lunalae Review

Here’s my review of two Lunalae Store’s gorgeous activewear and swimwear sets, complete with pictures from my photoshoot with @vmilus and a lot of (hopefully) fun social media spam.

About Lunalae

Australian polewear brand Lunalae Store was born in 2016 as Luna Pole Wear, founded by pole dancer and fashion designer Fion. The brand grew fast and expanded as Lunalae, creating looks looks you can wear both on and off the pole, such as lingerie and activewear.

I tried their Active and Swim collection. Here’s what I thought of their sets.

Lunalae Active Collection

Lunalae’s active collection blew my mind because it’s not only fitting, elegant and clever in design: it’s also made from recycled materials, in line with the brand’s aim to continue making their garments more sustainable.

The Aliza Scoop Neck Top Recycled ($65 / £37) is both flattering and comfy, especially thanks to its key hole cut-out above the bust, which contours your waistline perfectly. The Aliza top, which I got in black, is ideal to train some of the toughest pole tricks, because its supportive thick straps and wide racer-back design make sure no flashing will distract you during your training. Even if the website says this is true to size, I sized down and got a size 6, which worked perfectly.

I matched the top with the Aliza High-Waist Bottoms Recycled ($59 / £33), also in a size 6. The back of the bottoms mirrors the Aliza top’s sexy key hole cut-out, which is just above Lunalae’s trademark, flattering scrunch bum detail. The Aliza set comes in both black and khaki.

Lunalae Swim Collection

Lunalae’s swim collection is slick, classy and timeless – so much that it managed to get both my and my picky mother’s seal of approval!

I tried Lunalae’s Bella Top ($59 / £33), a garter bra with a V-strap detail, fully padded and made with high-quality nylon lycra. Its straps are adjustable, making it a great addition to both choreo and trick classes, and a photoshoot darling (exhibit A).

If you are in between sizes, Lunalae recommend sizing up for this one – and I got a size 8, which fits really comfortably.

I chose the top in Lunalae’s gorgeous Wine shade, and matched it with their High Leg Bottoms ($49/ £27), also in a size 8. The bottoms are designed to flatter your body in all the right places, thanks to a super high leg cut that doesn’t cut off your thighs and accentuates your natural curves, elongating the legs.

This set is designed for ample coverage of all your bits even in the hardest spins, and it’s fully lined with soft fabric for comfort. Because it’s made with stretchy, breathable fabric, this set is super comfy for pole, but it also doubles up as swimwear.

I fell for this set really hard and it’s probably one of my favourite pole sets ever. It’s definitely tempting me to get myself more of Lunalae’s gorgeous polewear!

Disclaimer

Lunalae Store gave me two of their set as a gift to create content for TikTok and Instagram, but all opinions in this blog are, of course, my own.
