A colonial house hidden among the green fields and uphill streets of Rochester Park, Nosh is your ultimate cute brunch destination in Singapore.
Eating at Nosh is an outstanding experience whether you’re hanging out on its terrace or inside its designer surroundings. Nosh serves up Western brunch classics with a Singapore twist at an affordable price and in a relaxed but boutique setting.
With its beige and cream white linen and its bronze glassware on white tables, Nosh looks like what you could expect from an explorer’s house overseas.On a hot December Saturday we had brunch on the terrace, playing on the swings and taking in the green landscape surrounding us. You can get to this adorable dining spot, frequented by family, mates and couples alike, by hopping on the Singapore underground and taking a Circle (yellow) Line train to the Buona Vista stop.
We went for the Crab Benedict, a twist on this British brunch classic using Singapore’s signature crabs, here in the shape of fried crab cakes providing the perfect bed for the exquisitely runny curried poached eggs. Served on toasted breakfast muffins and accompanied by a fresh salad and some of the best roast potatoes I’ve ever tasted, Nosh’s Crab Benedict have nothing to envy to their overseas counterparts.
Following the Benedict we still had room for a weekend dessert, Nosh’s buttermilk biscuits, a slightly softer version of traditional scones served with honey and butter.
A gem hidden in a delightful, calm spot away from the Orchard Road or Marina Bay traffic, Nosh is the perfect destination for a tourist-free, yummy brunch.
